Thank you for your continued interest in Disciple of Christ, Education in Virtue. As we start a new academic year, I wanted to welcome the sixty-five (plus) new schools who are striving to intentionally educate young people in the virtuous life. In the past month, I have visited several schools and it is encouraging to see how everyone works together to find creative ways to use the resources. Thank you for your witness and sharing your ideas.
Please know how grateful I am to have such a wonderful community of faithful Catholics who share the mission of spreading God’s beauty and goodness. Together, we are making an impact and I want to encourage you to continue pressing on, fighting the good fight (1 Timothy 6:12).
GROW IN VIRTUE
This week on social media, we’ll focus on the virtue of perseverance. Perseverance means taking the necessary steps to overcome difficulties; this can range from completing a small task to accepting the difficulties of a chronic illness. It is just being willing to take the next step.
In the words of Matt Maher’s song ‘Your Grace is Enough,” He truly does sustain us at each moment. May these words of St. Paul ring in your ears this week and give you hope when life gets hard: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).

MIND & HEART
Everyone is faced with difficulties. It can be physical suffering, a challenging job, or persevering in sports. I invite you to watch, listen, or read the latest post on Lumen Ecclesiae Digital on prayer and perseverance. Former NFL player, Chris Horn, talks about virtue and how it has positively impacted him and his family. WATCH ON GO LE DIGITAL
