This course will help Catholic school religion teachers to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, and to become authentic catechists of the Catholic Faith. RIM Catechist Formation advances the classroom catechist through inspiring and practical lessons focused on mission, methodology, Liturgy, Scriptural prayer, and more.  
Catechists will be introduced to Echoing the Mystery as a primary resource to better understand doctrinal content. And catechists will learn to use the Ecclesial Method of Catechesis as the best way to arrange their lessons.

Presenters

Sister Jude Andrew, O.P.

Sister Jude Andrew Link, OP entered the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist in 2003. She has an MA in theology from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Philadelphia, PA and is pursuing an MA in Catechetics and Evangelization from Franciscan University of Steubenville. Sister Jude Andrew has worked with her community’s apostolate – Openlight Media – to develop catechetical and educational resources. She loves teaching and has spent almost 15 years teaching theology in middle school and high school classrooms.

Monica Pope

Monica Pope is a master catechist for Openlight Media.  She earned her Master Catechist certificate in the Archdiocese of Detroit.  In her thirty years of lay ministry, she has taught many grades of Catholic school religion. She’s facilitated numerous catechist formation workshops and retreats.  She directed family catechesis  programs and discipleship ministries at several Catholic parishes.  She and her husband Tracy have been married 36 years.  They have ten children and fourteen grandchildren.
