Catholics have long had the tradition of dedicating certain days of the week to a particular saint or mystery. Saturday, for instance, is Our Lady’s day, Friday is the day of the Lord’s Passion, and Wednesday is usually kept to honor St. Joseph. For Dominicans, Tuesdays are kept in honor of our Holy Father Dominic. And just as there are devotions such as the Five First Saturdays, so do we honor St. Dominic each year with a series of 15 Tuesdays leading up to his feast day.
