The Virtue of Humility

Awareness that all our gifts come from God and appreciation for the gifts of others
Dear Jesus, You said, “Learn from Me, for I am meek and humble of heart” (Matthew 11:29). You are God, yet You became little out of love for me. I desire to become little for love of You. Help me to be honest about my strengths and weaknesses.

Do nothing from selfishness or conceit, but in humility count others better than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.
Likewise you that are younger be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for "God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble." Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that in due time he may exalt you.
But when Jesus perceived the thought of their hearts, he took a child and put him by his side, and said to them, "Whoever receives this child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me receives him who sent me; for he who is least among you all is the one who is great."
