Keeping a “gratitude log” creates space in our lives to reflect on the blessings God has given us.When we know He gives us everything we need, we can live generously for others.
Gratitude is part of the virtue of justice. We are happy when we realize we owe so much to God and others and express this gratitude in our words and actions. Our fast-paced world gives us little time to reflect; we have to “make space” to recognize the blessings. Giving your students a gratitude log as part of their religion homework, bell-work, or an exit ticket on their day helps them develop the habit of living in gratitude.
Students who learn to count their blessings (live the virtue of gratitude) keep a smile on their face and a cooperative spirit.
